Karen Atkins, LMT, PaRama BP, CBI, BAT, CBP, AdvCBP Karen Atkins, CBP, CBI, LMT, is a Licensed Massage Therapist and a Certified BodyTalk Instructor and Practitioner. She has been practicing BodyTalk since 2002 and has completed all the BodyTalk Advanced Modules. She continues to study and expand her knowledge and understanding of The BodyTalk System and related philosophies and disciplines. Karen's background includes being a Rock Musician, working for a website company, and a being a certified landscape designer. All these areas have contributed to the skills and world experience that she draws from in order to be a phenomenal practitioner. Melanie Buzek, P.T., CBP, CBI Melanie became interested in health and the healing arts in her early twenties in an effort to overcome her own physical challenges. She graduated from University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston as a Physical Therapist in 1990 and followed her passion to continue learning about the body and all of its systems. She has an extensive background in manual and complimentary therapies including Craniosacral Therapy, Lymph Drainage, Arthropraxis Joint Mobilization, Visceral Manipulation, Muscle Energy, Strain-Counterstrain, Mechanical Link, Neural Mobilization, Facial Release, Heart Centered Therapy, Zero Balancing, Dynamic Lumbar and Cervical Stabilization, Myotherapy, Structural Integrity and Exercise Therapy, Reiki and all of the BodyTalk modules, Mindscape and Freefall. Her teaching and lecturing history includes teaching anatomy and physiology labs, weight training and safety, a variety of physical fitness courses, body mechanics and spinal care classes, and giving fitness lectures for various corporations and organizations. Elizabeth Hanson, CBP, CAI I was born and raised in Maryland and Virginia. I attended college at Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan and Colegio Adventista de Sagunto in Sagunto, Spain. I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History with minors in Spanish and Secretarial Science in June of 1986. In my life I have traveled in Northern Africa, Portugal, France and Mexico and lived in Spain and Japan. I speak English, Spanish and Japanese. I have worked as a secretary, medical office manager, transcriptionist, certified nurses assistant, teacher, childbirth educator, doula, midwife and MOM. My family and I moved to North Dakota 10 years ago and really love it, winters and all! I began my BodyTalk training and practice more than two years ago and continue to go to new trainings every few months. I am proud to be the wife Scott M. Hanson, Ph.D. and mother to Esther 14, Sarah 12 and Hannah 4. I enjoy reading, embroidery, cats, cooking, working on 4-H and Girl Scout projects, being with my family and, of course, BODYTALK! How I got into BodyTalk: I have 3 lovely daughters who unfortunately had large numbers of food (198 for Sarah alone) and environmental allergies. Also, my two oldest were diagnosed as autistic and the youngest looked like she was going to become autistic because her speech had stopped developing. We struggled for 5 years on a very, very restrictive diet that helped to improve their health and behaviors but it was very difficult. Then we found BodyTalk! Getting rid of all those allergies and helping the body to communicate and find a better balance was PRICELESS! Now all my girls can eat whatever they want without any specialized diet! Even better is that my oldest girl Esther is no longer considered autistic. Sarah is much improved over what she was 2 years ago and continues to improve. Hannah's speech has caught up and she is continuing to develop normally and she hasn't needed an antibiotic in nearly 2 years. That was a Thursday; by Friday night I was in Calgary, Alberta, taking Module 1 & 2. On Tuesday I changed jobs (leaving my job of 24 years) and became a BodyTalk Practitioner.
