BodyTalk System and Christian Faith
Testimony by a Certified BodyTalk Practitioner I am a fundamentalist Christian who was at first afraid that I was "communicating" with something "unholy" and that maybe BodyTalk would cause me to lose my faith in God. Now three years and seven months after my basic training, in module 1 & 2 I no longer feel that way. In fact I have had the opposite experience. In every advanced module I have come away with more depth in my Christian experience. Mod 1 & 2 Advanced Practical brought me peace about other BodyTalkers that their heads do not spin nor does green goo come from their mouths. I saw that the instructors and other BodyTalkers were respectful of my beliefs. Mod 3, 4 & 7 I learned that we cause illness and injury because the wonderful system God made to help us process emotions has been damaged in an imperfect world. Module 6 left me in awe to be part of the plan of salvation to show the universe that God gives every man and woman, every chance to resolve all their issues even after their body is no longer functioning. I wept as this concept finally sank in. Module 9 strengthened my faith by confirming that God had a plan for the family especially the differences in the male and female roles. So you see BodyTalk has deepened, personalized and expanded my faith. I cannot believe that something that has brought me closer to God can be evil. My BodyTalk courses and the privilege of working with other precious children of God have taught me more than any sermon I have ever heard. There are some Bible verses that I have put on some cards and I carry them in my mini-appointment book in my purse. Whenever someone asks me if BodyTalk is from the Devil or evil, I hand them the cards and have them read them out loud. The cards have the verses Matthew 7:16 which from the King James version states, “Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?” And Matthew 7:20 “Wherefore by their fruit ye shall know them.” The last is I Corinthians 12:28 “And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondly prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.” These texts help keep me focused that I am part of Gods' plan. That I am the good fruit and using one of the fruits of the spirit. These texts help other Christians see that just because you don't understand something does not mean it is evil. You have to look at the intent of the person and the fruits of the modality. For me when I answer this question it is personal for me. I can talk from my personal experience and with all sincerity and conviction. One of the biggest issues is that people do not understand how BT works or why it works. So I ask them if they know how babies are made? You know, really specifically how babies are made, like how the stem cells know to become only one heart but TWO kidneys. After they answer no, I ask if they understand how radio, microwaves, T.V., and the internet work? Once they tell me "No, not really?" I then ask if they think they are evil? Once they tell me no (except that you can watch or do evil things on them but the internet and T.V.'s are not evil by themselves) then I tell them that I don't understand how BT really works either, but since I have had 3 babies and have every modern appliance in my home and I use it every day and get much enjoyment from it I thought I better give BT a try as well. Just because I don't understand it is no reason not to use something. I hope that this helps in some way. Elizabeth Hanson, Certified BodyTalk Practitioner Rolla, North Dakota |
